Applesauce Designs @ CRAFT HAPPY

We first saw Applesauce Designs at the Renegade Craft Fair last December. Unique and quality children's clothes are hard to find, so we knew we had to have them at CRAFT HAPPY. Their designs are fresh yet classic, with absolutely charming hand-done details.

Here are some we're smitten with:

Cleo Ruffle Sleeve Coat

Carolina Satyr Party Dress
Chloe in the Sun 2 Piece

This Charming Candy @ CRAFT HAPPY

We're such suckers for This Charming Candy's lollipops! We're super excited to have handcrafted hard candies at CRAFT HAPPY next Saturday. This Charming Candy makes delectable lollies in all sorts of neat flavors - some we spotted are Pomegranate, Pistachio-Marshmallow, Teaberry, Tangerine Clove, Salted Caramel, and Honey-Jasmine. Hungry yet? We definitely are!

Satsumabug @ CRAFT HAPPY

Satsumabug makes a variety of inspired handbags, yoga totes, and eye pillows with recycled and vintage fabrics. An example - this adorable yet functional drawstring pouch. It's the kind of bag that you know you'd get compliments every time you use it!

Satsumabug will have some debut items at our show next week! Here's a sneak peek:

Binder dividers made out of antique maps

Tropical Rainstorm zip pouch

BTW, Lisa has informed us that her newsletter subscribers will get some insider deals at her table next Saturday! You can sign up here.

The Soap Nymph @ CRAFT HAPPY

We sought out The Soap Nymph for our show, having already been customers before - and loving all our purchases! Designer Gosia Gizycki has created a beautiful assortment of both sliced and shaped soaps, in tons of great scents - making it easy to spoil yourself (or others). Want a gift for your best friend? Easy. Gift for a kid? No problem! There's even a selection of man soaps!

Here are a few we love:

Blush, one of many sliced soaps available.

Fortune cookie soaps!

Cut with the Cake Knife @ CRAFT HAPPY

We're fawning all over Cut with the Cake Knife's dainty jewelry pieces! Designer Jennifer Avalos features a mix of cute, kawaii inspired rings and darling brooches and earrings. We can't wait to see what she'll have at our show!

Dorklandia @ CRAFT HAPPY

Designer Kayte Kelly's octopiary is headed for Craft Happy. Yes, octopiary! Dorklandia's quirky, lovable crocheted octopi are a sight to behold - even if you only have two arms to hold them with and not eight. Hmm, can you imagine how much crafting could get done with eight arms?

Here are some recent creations we're fond of:

Ok, this guy, Octocle - he is hilarious! He was a custom order :)

Please check more out for yourself on March 20th!

Simple Arts @ CRAFT HAPPY

I will be the gladdest thing
Under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers
And not pick one.
~Edna St. Vincent Millay, "Afternoon on a Hill"

You don't have to pick flowers - let them thrive in their natural surroundings! Instead, select one of Simple Arts lovely handmade flowers. Petals and leaves are sculpted out of crepe paper (and even coffee filters!) to create realistic yet playful posies for your coffee table or dresser.

Ticky Tacky @ CRAFT HAPPY

Doesn't that roll right off the tongue? We love how it alliterative it sounds!

Ticky Tacky uses found objects (buttons, sea glass, beads) to turn paper mache boxes into gorgeous little works of art. Each box is then coated with epoxy resin to make it strong enough to store your most precious treasures.

Here are a few samples:

Wouldn't these make fabulous graduation or mother's day gifts? You could pair a box with a cute jewelry surprise inside too!

Satin Corset @ CRAFT HAPPY

We saw Satin Corset's jewelry in Envy.Me Boutique in Niles (one of our sponsors) back before the holidays, and picked out an adorable pair of earrings as a Christmas present. There's just no way to beat buying local! We felt great about buying from a nearby artist, and knowing that we were supporting our local economy too (although the gift ended up making its way to North Carolina later, haha).

Described as sweet vintage chic, Satin Corset's jewelry designs exude that "je ne sais quoi" quality that makes them an elegant edition to any outfit. A few we're particularly fond of:

Check them out for yourself at CRAFT HAPPY on March 20th!

P.s. The gift was a great success!

Recover Your Thoughts @ CRAFT HAPPY

What happens to books that are no longer needed for the pages they keep? Are they banished from the book world, forever collecting dust? = (
Thankfully, not anymore! The concept behind Recover Your Thought's journals is simple, yet totally inspired. Take a book, breath new life into it by making it's cover (and sometimes a few pages, too) into a journal. For sentimentalists like us, it's the perfect way to remember a favorite, inspired, or just plain silly book. Here are some examples:

Melinda Mae @ CRAFT HAPPY

Melinda Mae's designs definitely live up to their description - "handbags for playful days and soulful nights". With fabrics that absolutely pop with their wonderfully graphic charm, it's way too difficult to pick just one! If you're anything like us (well, Shelby at least :), it's the handbag that ties an outfit together. Why be drab when you sport one of these?

Melinda Mae will have wristlets, clutches, small, medium and large bags at our show on March 20th!

Cimmerii @ CRAFT HAPPY

Cimmerii has mastered the art of the hand-crafted doll. One can easily tell that each of her creations is made with a loving attention to detail, beautiful color choices, and delightful materials. Her pieces are one-of-a-kind jewels! Not to mention eco-friendly. Here's a few we love:

Cute for a kid's room!

This pink kitty rocks her adorable heart tattoos!

Aren't these a hoot?

Swanky Swell @ CRAFT HAPPY

Sometimes fabric is just fabric, and other times (if you're lucky), fabric is art. Swanky Swell's collection of hand-screened fabric is absolutely gorgeous! Oh, and it's certified organic, 100% cotton. We could easily see these making a beautiful pillow cover or upholstered chair:
